Setting Up My Turkey Burner <help>

They behave very differently with a pot on them, no point in mucking around and adjusting it unless you have a vessel on there.

    2009 Hop Plantations

They dont send out little rootlets like ivy, just wind themselves around, so it is possible to pull all the plant matter from the previous year off if you can be bothered.

    Andale Inline Flow Restrictors

Goat has left his minikeg in my shed, and he has one on the tap. As long as you dont tell him where you got it from, I will sell it to you for $40.

    Bulk Priming And Racking

When I used to do this I found letting the beer warm up again to bottle made the process much harder as you get a bunch of foaming in the bottle, the beer hasnt reached equilibrium with CO2 so it wants to come out of solution. Bottling cold was less hassle and worked fine.

    Portable Party Keg Bar

Large wheels, room for two kegs, wooden top, portable - hey thats my wheelie keg! Demolition jarrah floorbords screwed to steel rails, cheap, light, looks fine. Lessons from that: 1) the wheels need to be a bit bigger, fully loaded its heavy and can get bogged, 2) the taps get warm at picnics...

Co2 Cylinder Screw-down Valve: Your Worst Nightmare

10 years? My whacky, zany, worksafe contravening, life risking, supposedly cowboy guy insists on inspecting my fire extinguisher and screw valve which he professionally put together with no thread mismatch every 5 years, and I have complete faith in him to keep me safe.

    Damn Gas Leak!

That will work fine, the beer will stay gassed, and you greatly reduce the risk of losing your gas bottle.

    Purchased A Kegerator

Have you put beer through them? Although the tap shanks are installed in the font, they are probably not done up tight, and beer will spray around inside the font until they are pulled up tight.

Gas Leak On Gas Manifold...how Do I Fix It?

Yeah, you have given the impression that the valve is stuffed, you need to remove it, but have rounded the nut you need to grab to do so. So the answers provided, have been intended to assist with undoing a tight threaded joint for a fitting which has been shagged up.

    Tooheys Keg Coupler

That thar, is something that came with a Chinese kegorator, so measure the actual pin on the actual fitting in question, cos they are all probably different.

Gas Leak On Gas Manifold...how Do I Fix It?

Once you get it out of the freezer, and get some torque on it with a spanner/vice grips, try tapping on the brass body with a little hammer while turning, or try applying heat to the brass body to make it expand a little and help break down the glue stuff.

Join Australia's Biggest Brew Day 2009

Ok since I am being targeted I guess I need to respond. I find this concept odd, I dont have a problem with other people doing it but I don't plan to join in. Having people over and showing them about brewing is a great idea, and I have been doing that in Perth for longer than many people...

    Purchased A Kegerator

One of the big advantages of a flow control tap is you dont needs long beer lines getting in the way.

    Purchased A Kegerator

Dont these things come with a rip-off Celli type tap with flow control? In that case you can use a short length of large OD Beer line and use the control on the tap to balance surely?

Ideal Time To Record Mash Temperature

Hey Rob. Unfortunately I have to inform you that your mash would not have converted at 22 deg. Maybe you should spend less time learning about electronics and more time learning basic brewing science.

    22kg Cylinders And Trunked/distributed Co2

I dont think it would be very safe or cost effective to run a very high pressure pipe from the bottle. But you could put the reg on the bottle set at say 300kPa, then use a second in line reg at the kegs to adjust to the pressure you need at that point. The in line reg would come from a...
