    A Return to Kits

I'm thinking that a lot of kit Brewers my self included started experimenting with more malt, better yeast, temp controll, cold crashing etc but have not hopped enough to compensate for the extra un-hopped ingredients I love my kit beer and brew it with care but at the end of the day it would...

    How do you O2.

I let it gurgle through a stainless air stone for three to four minutes. It has definitely improved my kit beers they are much clearer and clean tasting.

Lager and Ale ferment together ?

I ended up leaving both brews at 15 deg and crashing to 2 deg. The ale keg is nearly done and enjoyed by all. Haven't tried the lager yet.

    Chilli! All Things Chillies.

Does anyone know what these might be ? They are all very hot to my taste. The first ones are my favourite with the seeds removed, very sweet.

Keezer timber issue- Smells like petrol/ diesel?

I painted my collar 140mm x 45mm dressed pine with this stuff. I figured if it's good enough to stick to a lighthouse it should work on my magic pudding.

    Whats In The Glass

Perfect Sunday breakfast beer. Two can Homie Lager dry hopped with cascade and cluster flowers then keg hopped with Nelson Sauvin. Washed premium ale yeast and O2. Cost me under 25 bucks for 50 smashable schooners but luckily I only drink middies so I get even better value.

    Kegerator worth?

I say keep it mate When times are tough and the funds are low is when basic home brewing is better value for money than most other expenses. There is always another solution.

    Whats In The Glass

Just smashed a 9.5 corny of Beermakers Bitter (goo) dry hopped with super pride pellets, Dr Rudi and cluster flowers at my young blokes joint. No complaints, crystal clear with plenty of crispy bitterness.

    Mucking around with Beermakers Bitter

I'm no expert but to me steeping (in water)gives more bitterness and seems to give off more oils which can affect the head. Dry hopping just before cold crashing gives a pleasant bitterness with cool aroma and fluffy head. I m still learning and experimenting with dry hopping and at the moment...

    Mucking around with Beermakers Bitter

Ive got one on tap at the moment. Dry hopped with 10g Cluster flowers, 15g Dr Rudi flowers and 20g POR pellets. I prefer dry hopping over steeping. This one is an ale and very drinkable but when made as a lager even better.
