    Afl Supercoach 2012

Managed to outscore even Dangerfield this week (albeit only by 2 points). Shame I'm in the wrong end of the table. Dangerfield vs Drunks in the GF. Ravens vs InandUnders in the losers final. I wonder how many players will cop the General Soreness this week...! :( Edit - how good has Zorko...

Bargain Hop Rhizomes - Saaz, Goldings And Por.

Re: Cluster - can't recall any specifics unfortunately, just a rhizome portion from a fellow brewer received many years ago (can't recall who I even got it from sorry!). I did have it in the ground at Parkside though for a few years - it grew no worries to the top of my trellis (which would be...

2011 Funky Case Swap: Tasting Thread

A bit behind on my sampling of these beers. Cracked my first of Manticle's efforts tonight. I tend to get more of the acid, and oak with some mild tartness at the end of the pallette. Plenty of body (imo) still. Light carbonation but after initial pour it looks dead flat - mild fizz whilst...

Style Of The Week 16/01/2008 - Tripel/golden Strong

They often are when things go pear shaped! Noticing now, I did not even think to scroll up the page, as my last tripel recipe was only a few posts above. Blonde moment here. I have another tripel fermenting on wlp550 yeast cake atm.

Style Of The Week 16/01/2008 - Tripel/golden Strong

Don't have beersmith on my work pc so going from memory here, but iirc, my tripels have comprised 100% base malt (maybe a 1-2% of spec malt for colour). Mash temp? I think I aimed for around 64-65. I went for the mid to upper end of the yeast recommended ferment temp range too, push those...

Benefits Of A 3v Brew Rig?

+1, one of the advantages for me too. It really does come down to how you like to brew, and how much space you have. And budget available / building skills, etc. I'd recommend getting along to a brew day near your place to see other rigs in action, to give you an appreciation for the...
