    Hlt Elec Or Gas?

Was thinking of getting two 2400W elements for my HLT. I 've noticed with the elements that are in normal kettles & jugs they are all coiled up, if i were to use elements out of some old kettles, should they be uncoiled? or is there a better place to source these elements? Cheers

    Problem With Kegging

Bigfella, My first kegging job was with a gun as well, make sure when you pull a beer that you move the gun trigger to its full extent, and as fast as you can, this will avoid foaming up the beer. Also what pressure are you pouring at? Too high a pressure will cause more foaming, from memory...

    Mash Tun

To cut the keg: - First i released the pressure, this was done simply by pushing on the rubber ring valve on the top with a screw driver. - Next made an outline on top with a marker - Then grab yourself an angle grinder, make sure the disc you have is a cutting metal one. - I then made the cut...

    How Cold Should It Be

Well...i dont know anything about that... My way of thinking is that you use your chest freezer to ferment in, then once you've done all your brewing, change the temp for storage.

    How Cold Should It Be

Big fella, I'd store your beer 3 deg C and below, just dont freeze it! :D Am I correct in assuming that you will be using this chest freezer to ferment & lager in too? Cheers
