Cocked Up A Bit, Need Some Advice

I've done this a couple of times. A kitchen strainer will help get the grain out.

How Many (& What Sort) Of Fridges Would Work Best?

Just make there isn't a light in the lid. And make sure you will have room to open the lid with a font attached.

    Full Boil Brewing

If your going to ferment the next morning, then overnight in a pot shouldn't be a problem (its something plenty of people do). A big advantage to a cube though is it can be stored for extended periods, so you can ferment at will. edit: If you put the glad wrap on when its hot, then its going...

    Got A Cidery Taste- D'oh!

And apply a womans logic to that gives you an excuse to drink more (the more you drink, the more you save - just like buying shoes on sale.)

    Got A Cidery Taste- D'oh!

Looks like they don't have it on their website. For cooling you can stick the pot in a sink with cold water (some people use ice aswell, i never bothered when I used to do it) or you can no chill (which is what I do now) either in a cube, or by covering the pot with glad wrap and leaving overnight.

    Got A Cidery Taste- D'oh!

Don't G&G doing an account thing where you can pre-pay and get the 20+KG rate? so its only $2.40/KG. Cost for equipment, assuming you don't need a mill (See previous sentence) is $19 for a big W pot and $5 for a sheet of voile from spotlight.

And a K+K tin is hopped wort that has had most of its water content removed right?

If your doing partial boils for extract, then stove top AG isn't really any different.

Building A Cpbf Without O2 Purge.

But why wouldn't there be any air/oxygen left, isn't the point of partial pressures that the CO2 will be added to the existing air that is in the bottle instead of displacing it? (genuine interest here - not trying to say your wrong as i'm possibly way off the mark)

Building A Cpbf Without O2 Purge.

Does this actually flush the air out, or just result in a mixture of air/co2? I didn't think CO2 would displace O2 in that way due to Daltons law of partial pressure. (I thought) To flush out the air you need to fill with a liquid (eg water) first, and then displace that with CO2.

Wow - 25 <_< . Makes it pretty much useless you only need to use it outdoors in winter.

Eeek! Loosing Power For 6 Hours - How Low Can I Drop The Temp?

If its just about finished i wouldn't worry. The freezer should maintain the temp fairly well, and raising the temp a bit towards the end of fermentation isn't going to hurt much (and will possibly do some good - even if it gets to 34 outside, i would doubt the wort inside a freezer would get...

I think they have just re-used the picture (they sell them in different ratings). Make sure you get one with 10A on it.

No need for earth, but you will want access to the switch/button on them so if they trip you can reset them. Something like this is easy to mount in a panel edit: fixed link

    Pouring My First Beer Tonight!

You aren't actually saving gas doing any of this (compared to carbing at serving pressure, which will only take about a week anyway so not really saving time either). As soon as you turn the gas back on, it will pump in enough gas to get back to your serving pressure. The only difference is if...

    Pid Newbie Stuff

If they use an internal distribution bar (ie, you feed in 1 set of wires and it powers both outlets) then they are rated at 10A total. If you feed a seperate set of wires into each outlet then it is 10A per outlet (since in this case they aren't really a "double" outlet, but actually 2 outlets...

Except the GPO is only rated at 10 amp. The reason the breaker (and wiring) is rated higher is because you generally have more than 1 gpo on a circuit. Drawing more than 10A from a 10A GPO will not blow a breaker, but is also not a good idea.

I'd be doing (1 or 2) and 3. 3 will provide "every day use" idiot/f-up protection, and 1 or 2 is always a good practice when supplying multiple outlets.
