Overclockers = A Great Forum For Technical Advice

LOL you should try reading the HB section, it's very very painful. To be fair, this phenomenon is hardly unique to OCAU; eg it is painful reading about coffee on here or on OCAU, or reading about beer on the coffee forum, or reading about knives on anything but foodies or knifeforums etc

Advice On Fonts - To Flood Or Not To Flood

true that non-flooded fonts will give you a bit more froth on the first pour. IMO I would get whatever you like the look of, flooded or not, then not bother flooding it. Effectively flooding a font at home is a PITA and not really practical. Either you have a big bucket of water in a fridge...

    New To Ag/biab

whats all this here? BIAB is essentially using a fabric manifold in your mash tun, which also happens to be your kettle. There is no real difference in a fabric manifold compared to a stainless one or a copper one.

    Show Us Your Beer Engines

 We've served a few chilled a force carbed beers from a keg in a bucket of ice through an engine with no worries. Maybe the foam comes from restriction of drawing beer through the beer out post? We tend to just stick the hose in through the open keg lid (yes, best to fin the keg that day!)...

    Siphoning

I've had one of these http://www.williamsbrewing.com/AUTO-SIPHON_P818.cfm (not from there, looks like the same thing though) for about 4 years and it's a piece of piss to use, never skipped a beat, an awesome piece of equipment IMO

    Us04- Fermenting Stalled?

Yeah it'll be fine. In my experience with english yeasts (which is fairly limited...) indicates that relative to other yeasts I use, they tend to ferment intensely for a short amount of time in the beginning, then take a while to finish.

    Us04- Fermenting Stalled?

Are you using S-04 or US-05? I don't think there is a US-04... Regardless, your temps look fine and it should be OK, wait a week and if it isn't looking at least near complete, then start to wonder wtf is going on :)

    Infected Test Tubes

Yeah, I'm also wondering how you prepared them... I use a pressure cooker and have slants and agar at room temp I havent used in 3 years that are still clean as a whistle...

    Wtb: 12'' Pully For Millmaster

BYBs buy was through Australian Pulley Co. in Windor as they machine custom pulleys for a very reasonable price, I also think it was aimed at the guys with the old MillMaster that needed the nonexistent "standard" bore size of 12mm. If you have a new mill with a 1/2" shaft, pulleys are a dime a...
