    Thoughts On Kettle Whirlpool Please

Wait to see if it happens before you go to lengths to correct it. I use regular keggle with a much more powerful burner, and cant get caramelisation even when I really really try.

    Drilling Stainless Steel

No need to get it online, the bunnings ones work fine.

    How To Get Degrees Symbol

248 and 0176 are the same and are the correct degree symbol, 0186 is something different. If you cant remember the code or whatever, and use windows, just got start -> run and type charmap, then you can copy the symbol from there. And while we're on a topic that only a pedant would care about...

    Drilling Stainless Steel

not disputing anything, but I got mine from bunnings and it's done 10 or 15 20mm holes in through 5mm stainless and is still as keen as new --- maybe you got a bung one? or perhaps they have different brands.

    Drilling Stainless Steel

+1 for step drill. I spent about $150 on "quality" hole saws that just wouldn't cut, I sat there for about an hour doing it once and only got a nice polished ring on the SS. Got a step bit and was done in 10 mins.

    Rekorderlig Pear Cider

ditto, on all counts Rekorderlig is tops too. And re an earlier post, they all say pear cider, but the ingredients list pear only... I thought pear only was perry? I guess the lingo isn't that strict...

    Wtb: 2.6kg Co2(melb/geelong)

good luck, CO2 cylinders are one of those things like a good burner or pump or grain mill, they don't tend to be sold secondhand :P My advice, as above, would be to go and pick up something from here http://www.mykegonlegs.com.au/gas_products.php - check out the location page to make sure...

    Electiric Powered Mixing Mash Tun

I reckon it sounds like an awesome idea, do it! There could be a problem keeping heat in without a lid or insulation, would it be possible to direct fire it for little spurts of heat every now and then? Is the metal food grade?

    Mashing Out With Fly Sparging.

Why has noone mentioned ease of lautering? Sure it might stop conversion, but after an hour long mash, pretty much everything that's converted is gunna be, and I think that noone really does a mash out for that reason (since penis length is directly proportional to efficiency, right?). Mashing...

Is There One Single Beer Merchant That Refridgerates Imports?

no idea, but I've tried a million different imports from figtree cellars that I havent found anywhere else, and not one of them has ever exhibited characteristics associated to mistreatment.

1/4" And 1/2" Npt Retaining Nuts

find a fittings specialist. Eg, I'm in newwy and walked into this place: http://www.specialisedwholesale.com.au/ and asked for a 1/4" UNC (aka 1/4-20) staino nut and the guy gave me a weird look and said "just one?" and just handed me one for nix. I dunno why a thermo probe would be a pipe...

    Stainless 1" Bsp Rims Element

BSP is a pipe fitting and 1" specifies the size of the pipe. 1" BSP has outside thread diameter 32mm (it's actually a hair over 33mm, but everywhere lists it as 32mm).

    Stainless 1" Bsp Rims Element

thought about asking when http://www.craftbrewer.com.au/shop/details.asp?PID=3853 are due back in? AFAIK a 32mm thread will probably be 1" BSP

    Fs: Beerbelly Hopscreen

I've got one for plugs. I thought it'd be no good for pellets either, there's no mesh inside but it seems to hold an inch thick cake of pellets and trub after the boil still.

Keg Posts (plugs)- Dismantling And Firestone Vs Corny

I dunno but I pulled down 3 kegs for cleaning the other day and put all the posts etc in a container to soak. I thought they'd be all interchangeable, it took me a while to get the right combos back together, there where 2 styles of poppet valves that had to be with the right post, and none of...

    Kegging For Convenience

    1) I keg for convenience, so sediment reducing filter on a bottle would in no way destory my kegging habit, and I don't think I'm alone here. Defintely wouldn't destroy the kegging industry, what a ludicrous claim :\ 2) if I cbf bottling more often, I would. I, like OP, notice heaps better hop...

    Dollar Reaches Parity...

Not quite true, imperial is a must, 3/8" (which i think is the standard shaft on the monsters) is easy to find pulleys for too. 12mm is just stupid. @dj check out australian pulley co in windsor, they do custom bore alu cast pulleys for a good price, I found the place after a months of phone...

    I Hate No-chill

That's true if the air is still, the idea is that the airborne bacteria don't 'swim' around in the air, they just travel on currents. In still air a gooseneck bend is enough to stop any bacteria -- there's a study about this but I can't seem to find it; it's essentially a glass flask of some...
