    Brewing kettle.

Yes, you have me thinking on that. Cheers.

    Brewing kettle.

Yes, how much to spend is the question.

    Brewing kettle.

Hi Brewers Moving into extract brewing. Do brewing kettles heat the water and allow you to boil the ingredients in the same container? Do they have their own power supply and other features like a cooling system? Only looking at partial boils for now, 19L or more.

    Crisp mouthfeel.

Thanks Mark, very informative. I might try the dry enzyme for starters and see how it goes. Cheers

    Crisp mouthfeel.

How do I get a more crisp mouthfeel with my kit beer? Is adding cracked grains such as rice grains or crystal malt the way to go?

Thanks for your input, kadmium. I had to look up Bru-1 as I'd never heard of it. Cheers

    Larry beer

Anyone know what hops are used in the Larry pale ale beer? It's described as a passionfruit, pineapple & mango taste.

    Capping PET bottles.

I've had a couple lately that weren't very tight when I opened them, I thought I may be weakening. That's interesting about the pressurizing.

    Capping PET bottles.

Hi brewers When capping PET bottles do you just screw them on finger tight or do they require more pressure?

Why do ALL of my can kits taste bad?

That's the effect of the constant temp. Years ago when the fermenter sat between, say, 15 and 30 degrees, the krausen sludge blew all over the top of the fermenter and out the airlock. (BTW I don't use an airlock now).

Why do ALL of my can kits taste bad?

I used to get the dreaded "twang" 30 years ago. But today brewing ales at 18 deg in a fridge using: 1 can Aust. Pale Ale 1kg dry malt 25g each of Nelson Sauvin, Amarillo, Chinook hops US-05 yeast in a Coopers fermenter, I make a very tasty beer. It's so good that commercial beer has no taste...

If you believe the climate bedwetters, the Eskimos will be wearing T-shirts and thongs and growing pineapples in 10 years..

    Hop combo.

Hi brewers I'm looking for a 2 (or 3) hop combination to produce a sweeter beer along the lines of 150 Lashes. In the past I've used an Amarillo and Nelson Sauvin pairing, also Nelson Sauvin, Amarillo, and Simcoe with varying success. Maybe need some bittering to round all that out? Anyone...

    Australian Lost Beers

My very first drink of beer was a Castlemaine XXXX tallie swigging with my Senior Scout mates in St George Square, Brisbane, one night long ago. XXXX has never tasted as good as that first drop, and never will now after brewing my own.

    Continuing Jokes Thread

I was having trouble with my computer. So I called Jaden, the 9 year old next door whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over. Jaden clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem. As he was walking away, I called after him, ‘So, what was wrong? He replied, ‘It...

A quick survery for those who have never entered a homebrew comp

I'm reluctant to enter my beer in any comp because it would show up how bad the other beers were.
