    Next meeting.

Hi all, Popped into Temple tonight for a pot and happened to get talking to Renata, Layed it all out, new club, told her its super early days for the club and we weren't planning on being a too regular burden. She was more than happy to have us upstairs, even thought monthly was fine. Also...

    Introducing myself

Fair Point, I was making the assuptrion in Temple's case that they are open on club nights anyway so we'd only be pinching their upstairs bar for one night and guaranteeing them selling 20 odd pots as a gesture of thanks. Maybe a Beer pub like the Great northern would be receptive to us...

Any interest in a brew club to the north of Melbourne?

Sorry to stir the pot but none of the other Melbourne clubs have a descriptive addition to their names at a quick glance. There may be a sub head on their website in some instances but Melbourne Brewers or Westgate brewers or Worthogs are just that. Merri Mashers communicates everything...

Any interest in a brew club to the north of Melbourne?

"Flasher" Brown ale (Rumor of a bloke in the burg giving creek walkers a peek as his action) "Is that a platypus? yes a dead one" IPA Actually for a long time been thinking of doing a Merri creek blackberry fruit beer. the creek gets less managed as you head north, Faulkner end has heaps of un...

Any interest in a brew club to the north of Melbourne?

Disagree that Northern brew club is too insular. Western Bulldogs changed their name from Footscray to capture a wider "western" melbourne audience for example. But having said that i think merri mashers is a funner name that encapsulates a similar area.

    Australian IPA

I think the fact we are looking to define our own IPA suggests copying in the first. English have one, Americans have one, We potentially want one. Americans copied the English using local ingredients and made bigger versions of their own local pale ale style. I think if an OZIPA was to evolve...
