    T.a.s.t.e. 2011 Close-enough-to-get-to-adelaide Autumn Case Swap Threa

Dr Smurto's Bo Pils Nice clarity, dark straw colour. Slight sweet malt on the nose. Good balance leaning toward the malt. Do I get some english yeast esters coming through? I don't know? Great beer though. Amin's APA Pours a nice clear rust copper, very slight haze. Good carbonation and...

    T.a.s.t.e. 2011 Close-enough-to-get-to-adelaide Autumn Case Swap Threa

First tasting of the swap beers for me... Phil's 10min Centennial IPA A bubbly but controllable pour. Carries a head with medium size bubbles - not much lacing. Mine poured a little hazy. In the aroma I get more yeasty esters than hops (though my nose is a little blocked at the moment)...

When I get back to Whyalla on Wednesday I can post the recipe - I don't have it with me and want to make sure I get it correct.

    Stammtisch Challenge - Winter 2011

As I was lucky enough to win the last Stammtisch challenge it is now my responsibilty to announce the next challenge. I thought a wintery beer may be appropriate and to a style guideline rather than a set recipe but with a small twist. Again, this will be judged at the 2011...

    Stammtisch Challenge - Autumn 2011

I had a lot of fun brewing for this one, all the other entries I got to try were great too. I think most people liked the challenge of brewing to a style rather than a set recipe so i think the next challenge will be along these lines. Thanks to jayse, Raven and Boston for judging.

    Star San Container Tip

On my second bottle of starsan. Lids on both bottles failed in the couple of uses. Just use PET bottle caps to replace now, no issues.

    Using Left Over Hops

This is a separate swap, so far scheduled for early/mid May. See here . . . http://brewadelaide.com/forum/index.php?topic=91.0 Not too sure how many people have yet to brew for it. I haven't yet, trying to find some time in the brew schedule, if I don't get around to brewing for it I do...

    Ahtanum

I really like this hop. I use it in my Amber ales, citrusy like cascade but I get less grapefruit and more orange notes.
