    4 Pines Kolsch

And it really does pay to check the date when buying from either 1st Choice or Dan's. I recently bought a bottle of Young's London Ale from 1st Choice and it was out of date by about 4 weeks. I made an online order from Dan's a few months back (Adnams The Bitter) and the carton was out of date...

    Good Old Beer Ads

Is it just my memory fading or was Tooheys draught actually fairly decent in the 80's? I remember it as the first beer I drank, around 1982 when I was 13, and I absolutely loved it. Maybe it was just youthful exuberance and totally no beer experience at all.

    What's The Difference

Bummer. If your going to buy the likes of the Party Star just remember that you'll need to replace those kegs every now and then, which can get expensive. There have been threads in the past about 5L stainless kegs that McDonald's used to use. Might be hard to find these days though. After a...

    What's The Difference

I bought this one a few years ago. I probably only used it about 3 times. It worked ok, and I've still got it somewhere, but in the end I bought a 9 litre corny keg and stuck the Party Star on the shelf. You can only use the mini kegs a few times before you have to throw them away. They are not...

    Mine Tastes Better

According to the article in the link below... "As is required by the brewery, the beer will be shipped to Australia using refrigerated transport". Not sure what happens with it though once Dan's get their hands on it. http://www.brewsnews.com.au/2011/01/sierra...ada-on-its-way/ I quite liked...

Classic. 1966 would have been interesting. I must have a look for this movie.

    Coopers Apa...what Hops To Use?

Since he mentioned Coopers I thought he was talking about an Australian Pale Ale, like Coopers Pale Ale. About the only hops he mentioned that are good for that are the POR.

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

You can check at Dan's website. They'll even tell you how many bottles they have in stock. As for Holgate, doesn't look like they have it.

Smith & Clyde. Aldi beer. Not very good really but I've certainly had worse. From New Zealand.

    Beer Glasses

I bought some of them a while back. They really are solid and heavy glasses. I've bought quite a variety from them. I've been getting into some of the English beers recently so I ordered some 570ml Crown dimple mugs but they are on backorder. Probably my favourite glass is this one...

    Beer Glasses

I've ordred from the Hospitality Depot a few times. Nice thing about them is that you can order as many as you like. They don't make you buy a whole carton of 24 or 48 glasses like other catering suppliers. http://www.hospitalitydepot.com.au/catalog/glassware/beer Pint glasses for $2.50 :)

5l Party Keg With Own Pressure.

Though a tad expensive, if someone was really keen on using those 5L kegs they'd be just as well buying one of these and using it on those empty Bitburger kegs, which can be reused a few times. I've got one....somewhere. http://www.midwestsupplies.com/party-star-...co2-tapper.html...

    Vintage Ale

Last time I bought Coopers Vintage, about 2 months ago, it was $65 a slab at 1st Choice. Great I thought, they've reduced the price. Then a week later it was back up to $85. Damn, must have been on special :( I've loved all the Vintage Ales I've tried over the years. I'll certainly be looking...

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

I haven't seen Landlord at Dans in ages. I must get down there and see if my local has it. The last time I tried Stone&Wood Pacific Ale it was so over carbonated it was like champagne. How was that one?
