    Andys Automated Controller Build

Not nearly looking half as bad this morning Just mapped out all the pins. Just got the analogue, one-wire inputs and a buzzer to hook up. After that it should be plain sailing. Hoping to do an I/O test from the controller in next 2-3 hours.

    Andys Automated Controller Build

EMF issue solved thanks to a MOV (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Varistor). Also a dodgy Arduino mega board (replaced with my spare) which was causing all sorts of grief Had it running overnight logging any restarts and funny pressure and timing issues to EEPROM, looked good this morning. So its...

    Andys Automated Controller Build

Been a while but I am progressing again. Bubbler (seen bootom next to PSU) is causing some EMF issues with the arduino, shouldn't be too hard to solve

    Craftbrewer Hoax!

These hackers are pretty stupid If you want to steal money, wouldn't you target Golf Websites or Yacht clubs rather than tight arse homebrewers who max out their cards on 100g of hops Pehaps they are going to the Guiness World Record of most scammed card declines per hour

    New 4wd - Decisions.....

Not done the precise maths here but say a patrol weighs 2200kgs then a VE Commodore weighs in at just under 2000kgs. I would guess the patrol with its larger footprint applies less psi to the black top. It's also probably leaking less tarmac destroying oil. Anyway, I traded my patrol for a...

    New 4wd - Decisions.....

Depends which jeep all grands are euro design / built hence why they have 70s interior rather than 60s Gearboxes are rubbish and later engines may as well be made from eggshells As for landrovers (all vintages) I would rather lick piss off nettles.

Bite their hand off for 25. They usually have 380+ ks on for that year which shows how easily they do it Can't remember exact details of wheel issue. May have just been a certain lug nut / wheel combo caused over torque I did 300,000 in my last gu patrol. Only spent on tyres, brakes and had...

    New 4wd - Decisions.....

Go the 4.2 patrol. Good luck finding a turbo diesel one for under $30k though. There was a recall on the alloy wheel studs/nuts on patrols of a certain age. Get.one with steel wheels from factory. Though easy to identify / rectify. The 3.0 pre gu4 turbo diesel had fuel / engine sieze issues
