    Sugar Dispenser

My automatic sugar dispenser is called, "whoever i invite around for bottling day", Good idea having one but you might find it just as easy to use the coopers (or other brands if they're out there) carbination drops. The missus bought me some $6 colapsable crates from the reject shop and I just...

Have some Goldings(I think) growing in front of my house, it started of not too good, got a bit hot for them and they got to thirsty. But now they're going good and the tallest vine is a 2 ro so metres tall. Just wondering when they'll start flowering and when to harvest. Cheers Aaron

Whats Going To Happen To My Beer!

You'll be fine. Might be worth taking the fermenter out of the fridge and let it sit at room temp to bring it up to temp a bit quicker, or if you have one slap a heat strap around it and ehat it to 18 then put it in the fridge. I don't think you'll have to pitch more yeast, check for signs of...

    Storing Half Used Tins

Not sure if this applies to malt, but with any tinned goods you shouldn't store them in the can. Personally I'd transfer it to a container and slap it in the fridge or freezer, pending on when you think you're going to use it, wouldn't keep it in the fridge longer than a week and might last a...

    Basic Q - Bottle Conditioning

When bottling try and keep the bottles somewhere that doesn't fluctuate much with temperature around the 20ish mark I find is best, +or- 5C is fine, I use the bottom of the pantry as the bottles are then also out of direct sunlight and the temp is somewhat constant. Leave them there for 3 or 4...

    Home Brew Stubbies

As many of the guys here have said make sure they're dark, don't use corona bottles whatever you do. However the twist top bottles I find work fine, I cap with a bench capper and would recomend you invest in one (only about $55 tops anything over and its a rip off), compare this with its ease of...

Smallest Possible Fridge For 60l Fermenter?

Try ebay, bought a bar fridge of there that fits my 30L fermenter nicely. Not sure it youll be able to find a bar fridge to fit it though might have to opt for something a bit bigger, however you could build a insulated box to fit around the original opening of the fridge and put the door on the...

    Using Artificial Flavors

Hey Guys, Have been reading a bit into flavoured beers (especially the porter side of things) and was wondering are artificial flavors the way to go or can you add things like vanila pods or crushed hazelnuts into your boil or fermentor instead ? If so what are some of the good combos you guys...

    Mini Kegerators/draughtmasters

+1 oh so true, I recently bought a bar fridge that fits a keg (and with some modifications hopefully 2) quite nicely, the thing only cost me $30. A corny keg you could probably pick up here for somewhere around $60 -70, a Regulator for gas would be $70 off of ebay and all the miscelanious bits...

12mm Od Chiller As Herms Heat Exchanger ?

Don't see why not, copper is a great conductor of heat (hence its use in imersion chillers) so i dont think efficeny would be any issue. How do you plan to control the temp of the circulating wort ? Aaron
