Partial, BIAB and Extract with grains

I have been brewing extract only beer and am looking to step up a notch to somewhere in between all extract and all grains. There seems to be a lot terminology that blurs BIAB, Partial and extract with grains process information. Can anyone tell me what the differences are? And what's the limit...

Same recipe, bad head retention this time.

I have looked up something similar and that's how I got to the beer line length, carbonation level and the temp I like (12c) as a starting point. I guess what I'm asking is, given I have those variables where I want them i.e carbonation level and temperature and the pouring rate rate looks ok...

Same recipe, bad head retention this time.

I know this is an old thread ( I'm a newbie brewer) but I'm just on my second brew of an English bitter extract only. I don't like bitter over carbonated so I've found I like it around 70 kpa and also set at the same level for serving. I have a beer line approx a meter long (4mm tube) with a...

    WLP002 yeast

I am new to homebrewing and am trying to brew a good English bitter with extract only. I've used the yeast from my Muntons Yorkshire Bitter kit and twice ended up with a 1020 FG after 12 days fermentation in a temp controlled fridge and very cloudy beer after cold crashing for 2 days. It seems...

    How To - Gelatine

I was just kegging my second batch of English bitter and using gelatin for the first time. I added the gelatin (1 teaspoon to 1 cup of water at 150F thoroughly mixed for about 10-15 mins) into the keg and filled it up with beer that had been cold crashed to 2c. Problem was I over filled the keg...

    Light dried malt

I have a couple of recipes for making an English Bitter that calls for Muntons Light dried malt extract. This is proving hard to source without paying very high prices and shipping from overseas. So the question is what would be a good substitute?

Simple Kit Brewing step by step for 1st Time Brewers

I have also heard that to add hoppy flavour to a brew kit, ( rather than dry hopping for aroma) the easiest way is to make a tea of 15g hops boiled for 20 mins, allow to cool, then throw into the keg when you are kegging your beer?
