    London Pubs (and Paris suggestions?)

Try The Dove near Hammersmith bridge. As you go in the door, on the RHS there is a bar with seats that only fits 3 people. Out the back is an outdoor area that looks out over the Thames. Beautiful view. The Beer Hunter series with Michael Jackson visits this pub during the British episode.

    Mangrove Jack Craft Series Yeasts

Pitched 2 rehydrated packs of the Burton Union yeast into 23L of 1.055 Riggwelter clone wort at 20C. Mashed at 66C. Checked after 18 hours and a small krausen was forming. After about 36 hours had a krausen of 40mm thick. Didn't get any bigger which surprised me. I usually use 1469 for my pommy...

    Circulating wort during boil

You're right, I should have stated that I use a 3V system. Edit- just reread the OP's post and he is using a 3V system and so is Gava so the above advice applies to his question. But as you say, the advice only applies to 3V systems not 1V.

I use two 2.4 Kw elements in my boil kettle. I use Burstfire controllers to regulate the boil and have never had scorching.
