I just made a toucan with Coopers stout and dark ale. Did a mini mash with 2kg of ale malt, added a kilo of milk stout booster and some fuggles hops. About a month in the bottle, no word of a lie its the best stout ( bar one a mates all grain ) that ive ever tasted.

Thats a big beer.

Have a taste, if it tastes ok out of the fermenter bottle or keg it. Nothing to lose really unless you need the room for something else.

Hello KegLand. I have the cash ready to go to buy a new series x kegerator, but everything is out of stock. When will this actually be available? I'm green to kegging, and venturing out for the first time, i've been ringing the phone number for advice, on the website but always engaged.

I would say good hand tightness. Not too tight youre going to strip the thread. Use the tightness of undoing a soft drink bottle as a guide.

Seems a very popular brew on the coopers forum. Most use the stout and dark ale cans and 1 kilo of dext. They say comes very close to Coopers Best Extra Stout if you culture the yeast from 4 - 6 stubbies of Pale Ale.
