    King Keg

Fair enough. Although a modified corny keg lid would sell like hotcakes and would ship easily on a global scale, and it's not like small bars and breweries don't use cornies. It would result in more cask-ish ales in a lot more places.

    King Keg

Is there any reason why a corny keg lid couldn't be designed that would take screw in bags? I'd rather not buy the plastic keg that wouldn't quite fit in with my setup.

Hey KL, I've got a product idea that sounds easy and might slip in pretty easily to your portfolio. I'd like an outdoor LPG wok burner for cranking out good stir fries as hot as possible. Kenji has a great video where he tests a few and makes a few recommendations (his conclusion is more BTUs...

I guess I'm wondering why the Monotight product range exists when Kegland are all about the Duotight? And when it's back in stock :)

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Thanks, 2 questions: 1) what's the difference between Monotight and Duotight? All the other reducers and joiners seem to come in the Duotight offering except this particular one? 2) when will this fitting be back in stock?

@KegLand-com-au I was hoping to switch over to 3mm ID Evabarrier. I have Duotight/Nukatap short shanks. I can't seem to find a Duotight 6.35mm to 6.35mm joiner to connect this beer line to this shank... am I missing something?

The Brew Shop and Hop & Grain. One seemed to have syrup and the other had rock sugar.

With all due respect to KL and realising this is their thread, it might be a good opportunity to give your local brew shop a go for candi syrup? The 2 main Sydney ones I shop at appear to have it in stock. This stuff would travel well so wouldn't really matter where it comes from.

There's also 13,000 lines of CSS (when non-minified) included inline on all page loads. I'm no CSS guru but that seems quite excessive, it should be moved to its own file to take advantage of local caching. Even then it still seems like an awful lot of CSS for this site and can probably do...

Website seems to be served via CloudFlare and is very responsive when the page has been recently visited. Latency is as low as 10ms for me here in Sydney, so it's no problem on the CloudFlare side of things. If you choose an odd page that may not have been loaded recently, you're looking at 6...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

@KegLand-com-au did you guys test the bishop tap handles on a 3 tap tower font, with Nukataps that like to angle backwards a few degrees? They're too bulky and you end up with one of the 3 taps slightly open. I think they need to go back to the drawing board - they're far bulkier than they...

Kegland, about these upcoming cask bladders. They sound like a bloody fantastic idea, very clever. I was thinking maybe an extra gas port on the corny keg lid might be a good idea, so we could lightly carbonate the beer and then put a higher pressure on the regular gas post for dispensing...

All About Canning - Cannular Can Seamers and More...

I got a canning machine for xmas and knowing that I'm not handy in the slightest I decided not to adjust it. It works flawlessly and I've never done a dud can. I do agree with the others that there should be a note mentioning it's already been tuned. I nearly made changes when I measured and...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Kegland, might have a free idea for a RAPT fermentation fridge accessory. It could be a good vessel for dry aging beef at home. A lot of the home built setups are an old fridge, temp controller and a fan for airflow. You would need to come up with a couple of parts to allow a chunk of beef to...

PSA: Consider removing your keg tap springs

I've got all Nukataps and springs. The springs worked OK for about a week and now no longer spring back. I don't often disassemble for cleaning (I do run cleaner through the taps frequently though), so I'm thinking about removing them entirely. Will take note of how the pour goes!

Galaxy Dry Hopping - How much is too much?

I haven't used Galaxy in a number of years. It definitely *used* to have a huge passionfruit hit. What are people's thoughts on current year's Galaxy? I've had a few Pacific Ales fresh from the brewery recently and I no longer get very much passionfruit at all. Is this a result in change of...

my fermentation with the 1st use of a tilt hydrometer

I haven't replaced the battery in my Tilt since I got it over a year ago, probably a beer a month. I would imagine if it had WiFi it wouldn't have enough or a 2 week ferment.

my fermentation with the 1st use of a tilt hydrometer

I've got a Tilt and I think they're fantastic, but I don't think you should ever read too much into the accuracy of those readings as they can usually be off by a couple of points or more. Most of the time a large clump of yeast will be sitting on the top of it impacting the readings. Use the...
