    Agree, you would be very lucky, to get it approved . The residents around you WILL complain . This may not make sense but it will happen and the council will block it on complaints about smells, waste disposal , increased traffic from cars and trucks, noise, insufficient parking , etc...

    Can I just add in regard to bitterness. Bitterness comes from the alpha acids in hops but alpha acids don't dissolve very well in water until they are isomerised (ie molecule is rearranged ) which takes around an hour of boiling the wort .

    Yep Straya, The Version 1 baskets should be in soon. When the guys who ordered them , use them , there should be a bit more interest in Version 2 .

    If I was putting a large vol of grain in a basket like this but larger ,it would need reinforcing. I have ueed the original version many times no problem.

    At the moment I'm waiting for some guys to make up their mind and there is a critical number needed. But they will be somewhere around $120 - $128.

    I don't know the specifications of a turbo boiler , sorry . Version 1 above is 29.0 cm wide 38.0 high plus 2cm legs.

    I have spoken to these guys. Remember for a machine and shipping your looking at $2029 USD so that is around $ 2536 plus GST plus customs plus paypal fees. So you would be looking at over $2850 Aust dollars. It's the best type of these machines but I would wait til they fix a few problems...

I can culture on yeast selective agar that has antibiotics in it and gram stain to confirm no contamination but freight especially in summer would be expensive...
