    Beer Labels And Logos

I finally got enough inspiration (from the more well polished labels) to get off my @rse, play around with Inkscape and come up with (IMHO) a half decent label. PS. I've got the grain cracked for this beer and am hoping to brew it tomorrow.

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

I've got a bottle each of vintage 1, 2, 3 and 4. I'm thinking of putting them in a mates wine cellar for a couple of years to see how they go (if the ******* doesn't drink them). Hopefully I'll be appearing quite often in the "What are you brewing thread" over the next few months. :D

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

Wife and kids left today for a little holiday. What better way to celebrate then by cracking a bottle of Murrays Anniversary Ale II and trying it in my new Scotch Thistle Glass (thanks to Tidal Pete for the glass swap). Wow. This beer is amazing. Long lasting head, fruity/sweet aroma and a...

It's also at the Local Taphouse in Sydney. I could do with an IPA right about now...

    Whats In The Glass (commercial)

I cracked a bottle of this (Ten20 anniversary ale) on the first day of 2010! I quite liked it as well.

**boycott** Perth International Beerfest - Fraudsters!

I reckon with all the bad press, you wouldn't have to queue much for the good beers that they have there this year.

Any Sydney Brew Shops That Stock Liquid Yeast ?

Country Brewer in Thornleigh doesn't stock liquid yeast, however he has mentioned that he can order it in.

Epic Pale Ale - First Taste

And all your beers are nicely refridgerated! I was visiting Melbourne around the time that Luke was doing the instore tasting (a few months ago), however I couldn't hang around. Still, I made out like a bandit with some Schneider Hopfen Weisse, Rogue juniper beer, various IPA's etc.

    So Whats Everyone Doing Nye/nyd?

It was an amazing view, however Centrepoint lacked atmosphere (couldn't hear fireworks, it was a subdued restaurant and I was drinking Crownies). I might have to head back to Aying/Munich (as per the previous year  ) for the next NYE celebration.

    So Whats Everyone Doing Nye/nyd?

I was tempted to drop in for a roadie (we had to get a bus back to Oakes Rd and walked home from there), but figured you'd be in bed at 2:20am.

    So Whats Everyone Doing Nye/nyd?

I'm off to Centrepoint tower with wife and friends. Should be a great view (if it isn't raining).

    Beer Labels And Logos

I made up a saison using barley, wheat, rye and oats. The oats were from my late Grandmother's place, hence the name "Grandma's Farm Ale". I used the "seed" font partly because it could represent four different grains. The label works really well without needing a border. I then added...

    1469 Here For Good?

That page makes reference to it being part of the personal collection (PC) with last release date of Q4 2008 (4Q08). I have seen others mention that Proculture offer this strain, however a quick search of their website doesn't reveal which yeast it is (perhaps its not listed?).

RecipeDB - Terrapin Rye Pale Ale Clone

I haven't tried the commercial beer, however I tried the following Terrapin RPA recipe (from BYO, but based on ingredients I had on hand)... Terrapin Rye Pale Ale clone Size: 19 L Efficiency: 70.0% Original Gravity: 1.054 Terminal Gravity: 1.014 Alcohol: 5.35% Bitterness: 45 Ingredients: 3.8...

Rocks Brewing Re-opening Harts Pub, The Rocks

It will be great to have a place which is a cross between RedOak (good selection of own beers) and Taphouse (good range of beers from different brewers). Good luck with the venture.
