Kegmenter transfer to keg: excessive foaming in transfer line

Warm transfers work if you keep the pressure up, otherwise your beer drops the gas out fast causing foam. Similar to opening a hot can of beer and pouring it into a glass, goes frothy and blows foam every where. Same inside your kegs, due to opening the can a pressure drop occurs and foam results.

Kegmenter transfer to keg: excessive foaming in transfer line

If your transferring at room temp. Eg 20 degrees, you will want the receiving keg at least 22-24 psi or more as the supply keg will be at 24-28 psi depending on carb level. Any less in the receiving keg will be causing foaming in the lines, as well as a very frothy beer in the receiving keg due...

    Keezer rebuild

The environment in a fridge is dry due to the evaporator sucking moisture out of the air due to the refrig effect , similar to an aircon the system pulls moisture out as it cools down and this moisture then runs out a drain somewhere. The time moisture will appear is when you open and warm humid...

    Beerkat - Kegs & Growlers

I just tested my mini 5 ltrs from bulk buy 2 using a very strong magnet I use in the electrical trade to find steel plates through gyprock and timber walls. My kegs have no magnetic on the side walls or top cone. They are slightly and I mean slightly magnetic on top rolls off the top section...

Hey mate, I'm a fridgie/sparky but mainly work in commercial Anyway Your fridge possibly went into thermo overload protection , I've seen this on hot days when people try and cold crash 40 odd litres of liquid down and the fridge can't handle the load and the compressor gets too hot and goes...

I've got 4 of these from last bulk buy. I've only been using 2 for weekend jobs but sometimes they come home with a few schooners left and have been fine by the next weekend. I used them at Christmas for 2 weeks filling them from main kegs at a camp site. My other 2 haven't been used yet. I...
