    Commercial Fridge: Yes or No?

The aircon will cost a lot more running each day over summer to temp control the beer than a dedicated cabinet. It will work but struggle to keep the ale down below 20 in primary ferments on hot days .Keep the fermenter in the airflow of the Ac . Plus you won't be able to cc the beer when...

Looking to buy a grain mill - any available?

Agree 100% Can hold approx 3.5- 4 kg grain, and feeds the mill perfectly with the splitter in the bottom. I love the fluted mill and hopper. Made my brew days so much better on all levels.

Looking to buy a grain mill - any available?

Mash master fluted... No affiliation , just one very happy customer after trying a couple of other mills. Best efficiency on all brews, plus it leaves the husk good so sparging is a breeze, similar to using rice hulls . Love it

    Commercial Fridge: Yes or No?

Ok good, he used multi meter. If the he got the multi meter out and tested the pins , start-common , run -common should add up to start-run. If not then one winding is out and the compressor won't run and if it does will run hot and trip over load. He proballly condemned it if he did this test...

    Commercial Fridge: Yes or No?

Did the fridgie test the 3 pins on the compressor with multi meter.? Also did he try a new start capacitor as well? Burnt out compressors, normally just blow the circuit breaker at the power board. Clicking sound is the overload cutting out due the compressor failing to start. Most of the...

SHould I buy a 100L Pilot Brewery From China?

Also check with Arctik, " Australian refrigeration council " on the process of importing something with refrigerant gas in it. You generally need to have a permit to import things into the country with refrigerant gasses in them. Depending on type of refrigerant and the intended use for it. If...

I usually have over summer a keg of nelson summer ale I do from the receipe data base as it's a cracker up here in sunny qld. Usually just use good old us05. Intertap vs perlick taps

I have both intertaps fc x 2 and 650ss fc x 3 on my flooded font. Intertap are good, but the perlicks are smoother, pour better out of the nossel as the beer flows nicer out of the nossel compared to my 2 intertaps, the pour seems to be more consistant with the perlicks whether you have the fc...

    Grain father v robobrew

I've done heaps of 150 lashes type ales, using upto 35% wheat, doing double batch, only issue was the wheat would sometimes coat the element base, causing the ramp up to boil to take awhile, easy fix was after mash out while the ramp up continues, I just use my long stainless mash paddle to...

    Grain father v robobrew

Good, I've done multiple brews in my G/father's using adjuncts.. My rice lagers have all turned out great, the unit handled 6 kgs of grain plus 2 kgs of white rice pre cooked and dumped into mash, mash in 1 kg of grain and 500 grms of gelantised rice at a time to get even spread throughout the...

    Intertap stout tap adapter

Hi mate I use the intertap stout nossel on my reds and stouts, works great. I only carb these styles upto about 2/3rds of my normal ales, and pour with about 15 psi which is heaps, but it does pour super creamy and after the initial tap open I adjust the flow rate down to fill the rest of the...

    Fermenting Under Pressure

Usually pitch my lagers onto the yeast cake in the kegmenters and all turn out sensational , better than the first gen batch. I usually only go one cake ferment, then dump and use new starters. citra golden ales rock, done a few myself. 2 grms dry hop citra is just perfect with smurtos grain...
