My new FC Intertap is also foaming tons. Given i have multiple taps i swapped it onto the other two spots and it foams with any combo of line, post and keg. The Perlick 630 and non-FC Intertap i have don't have any issues. Thoughts?

Any idea of the same offer for the FC taps? I would test alongside a perlick 650 and 545.

Which Perlicks do you have Wolfy? The 650 i have had in the past was quite workable, but the old 5 series were a bit more temperamental. Ill have to get in contact with Kee when i get back on Monday.

Anyone used the flow control models yet? Adding another 2 taps to my new kegerator, and debating what to use. Already locked in one standard Intertap, but wondering whether i hold off on the other one and get a FC tap.

Spring will self close the tap on certain tap designs. Some taps need longer springs.

Would be worse than a $30 immersion chiller. Liquid-to-Liquid thermal transfer is much more efficient than Liquid-to-Air, no matter how it works. What you could do is put a trans cooler in an external bath and recirculate through it.. but would still be worse than the $30 immersion chiller.

The 60L wheelie bins are a 'promotional item' which means that they come in randomly and aren't kept in stock. I use them for all my grain, and havent had any issues with insects. Because they are raised off the ground on castors all youw ould have to do is to spray the castor with insect...

I will likely use an Intertap alongside my Perlick 630 and 525 when i finally upgrade from the bodgy fridge im using to something that holds more than one keg. (both of which have springs in them) Until then though its a bit academic.

Personally i like spring loaded taps for home setups, far less likely that someone will walk away from a tap with it 99% closed but still dribbling out.

Just a little warning if anyone is considering the Esatto freezers on 20% off at Masters. The dimensions on the website are all wrong, the 142L one is only 300mm deep and 600mm wide, rather than the 500x540 that it is advertised as :S

I bottle conditioned the last 2L of a 22L batch (19 into a keg) and had it explode all over the room when i popped the top and then proceed to foam everywhere. No issue with carbonation there.

The unbranded Spiegelau IPA glasses are about $15ea, so $10 for 3 beers isnt terrible... just dont compare it with anywhere stateside :)

Anyone done a lacto sour mash on the same? Im considering doing one with Lacto. P. to pH3.6 in mash, 30-35IBU of the 3-Cs and WLP320

The club font uses those for the gas line, they are ok and seem to seal fine, but as they rotate it all tends to get a bit all splayed out.
