Hi - homebrewer moving to Australia

Half of our stuff has come from Gumtree :D Including a 145L Hisense chest freezer which looks like it'll fit 4 kegs with a collar! I haven't checked out FB marketplace, but will. Thanks for the tip!

Hi - homebrewer moving to Australia

Just a quick update on my regulator: I brought my US one which doesn't work on local bottles. But I was able to scavenge the stem and nut from a local (broken) regulator and swap it easily. My reg (and the scavenged one) both had left hand threads, but not all regs do so keep that in mind. 1st...

Setting Up A Gifted KK Kegerator Mark3

For my ball lock disconnects I use barb fittings with a hose clamp. Not better or worse than flare fittings IMO, just what was in stock when I got my kit. Never had leaks on gas or beer side. Good luck and congrats on the great system.

Making beer from solar hot water

I stopped using hot water after reading about issues due to old pipes (lead in the solder, hot water causes it to leach out faster than cold water) so I only use cold water now. I think it depends on both the equipment your using, and the piping. One day, I'd like to have the right kit to make...

Mash Master Mill Master Mini mill Bulk Buy.

I thought m6 too, but then 1/4" bolts worked. Maybe because I'm American and haven't been metricated? Thanks for posting the measurements. I really like your setup (inc. the old shower chair).

West Coast USA Road Trip - Oct/Nov

Sorry you missed Russian River - it's a cool bar. For others (or if you're ever back there) they have an on site bottle shop where you can get bottles and growlers for off-premise consumption. Just head to the front of the line and say you want to get takeaway (though I've been in there and...

I was originally looking for a spiral burner, but that also needs a regulator = $225 for both. (not sure what shipping will be) which is getting to be more than I wanted to spend. Thanks for the tips.
