    KegLand Questions and Answers

After a 2.6 kg co2 gas cylinder, looking up the usual suspects for the best offer was bamboozled by this on KL website. A 2.6 gas cylinder ready to fill cost $73. Keg King a 2.6 gas cylinder full $74.95. One wouldn't need many guesses where I ordered from. Whats with the empty cylinders, and why...

KK - 'Fermentasaurus' conical PET fermenter

I think the size would have been a negative with the original, the cost of the snubnose would also be a major factor for its popularity. As for the Fermentasaurus 3 the question would have to be asked will it ferment any better than the snubnose or the Fermentasaurus 1, I would say no, so it...

All About Canning - Cannular Can Seamers and More...

I would like to know how the nitrogen charged ball stays charged, also I believe it is under patent so unlikely to reach the ranks of homebrewers.:(

Well I am not an angel but I will take Alexander Pope's advice and see how things pan out, although I would be putting my hand up if widgets were involved.

    Spray ball washing the Keg.

I spoke to Darren at Keg King, got put through to him when I was looking for something to hold the kegs.

Yes plenty of pressure to really flush through the posts and spin the ball. Very happy with the pump for $69 the Ozito was $89, for your unitank, without knowing how it looks, is to get a tri clamp fitting to put the spray ball onto fill the pail and check that the discharge will keep up with...

Remove sediment in primary instead of racking

Even if you keg it is always good to run off a dozen bottles, conditioning/maturing and tasting after the first 2 or 3 weeks at different intervals while taking notes. Drink at about 8 to 10 degrees C, if you want to go into a competition, you will have a good idea what you are presenting. It...

    Spray ball washing the Keg.

The keg chime is the black plastic handle which runs around the top, this is similar but it sits over the pail and the keg fits into the top, so it is like a second chime. I got it from Keg King when I ordered the spray ball, they told me about them for cleaning the kegs. The pump is a $69...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

As the article mentions there is not enough knowledge on what pressure does what, but Chris White once said don't stifle the yeast, also good reading is Dave Miller's book Everything you need to know about home brewing, the fermentation chapter.

    Spray ball washing the Keg.

Carried on from the KK Fermentasaurus conical thread, adapted the unit using the $10 Keg Chime which fits like a glove onto both keg and pail. Cleaning the Snubby. Drilled and tapped 1/8 BSP into connector, fitted barbs and attached gas and liquid disconnects. Fitted the Keg Chime...

Remove sediment in primary instead of racking

Thats the downside of the larger bottles, they are good because it is less cleaning but wanting another drink when you have 1.25 litre bottles, is a trap. You could pour another glass gently out of the bottle and put the cap back on and finish it the next night, it won't go off, maybe a little...

    James Squire - The Gambler

Thats the beauty of all grain, you can make it to suit your taste, I like to know I have had a beer by the lingering bitterness. Try between 35 and 40 IBU's, maybe just try a small batch but you will not be making a beer that you can't drink.

    James Squire - The Gambler

Not a lot to go off and I have never seen this lager / pilsner, but if it is a light colour I would start out with 80% Pilsner, 15% Vienna, 5% Munich if it is light, if it is dark Munich drop it to 3% and up the Pilsner. You would have to punch it in to Brewers Friend to check out the colour...

    Keg land Chinese corner kegs

They are all done by robot welding but from the outside, never the inside. Even if it were possible it wouldn't make sense to weld from the inside on a production line and no advantage. They all get cleaned and passivated. Not pacified as the guy in the video suggests.:)
