Buying in a 1V brewing instrument. Advice appreciated

Personally, I would go the Cheeky Peak System. They look really well made and Cheeky Peak are amazing. The Guten/Brewzilla are cheap and so the quality can vary. You get what you pay for. But yeah, my vote would be the Cheeky Peak system.

    How long do FWKs last?

Yeah, I have had a cube sit for 3 years and it was fine. These days my drinking has increased a fraction so they get turned over quickly, but when my daughter was born I had quite the stash of cubes. I have a cube at the moment that's 5 years old. I am not sure if it is still alright, I just...

I think it's just the lid of the collection container that is not to be used under pressure. I think the container itself is fine.

Apparently it can be hit and miss. Not everything turns up. You just get the money back. I haven't ordered anything but have friends that have.

The Brauduino (Matho’s Controller) Build/Advice/Question Thread

Duh! I'm doing it the wrong way around! I've been using the mathos for my HLT and an inkbird (So essentially an STC on the herms/mash. I should try it the other way around.

Awesome, and it works ok with the Herms? That's what I will be using it for. And how do you go with the different vessels. Just plug into each vessel as needed?

1st Time Yeast Washing & Harvesting

I don't have anything to add unfortunately, but I'll be watching closely. I have just tried washing yeast but not sure how success I was. But your process is one I was following. I do think you could make a started from what you have definitely. I freeze yeast and make a starter using only...

The Brauduino (Matho’s Controller) Build/Advice/Question Thread

Does anyone use theirs on a 3V? I have recently set one up that I bought second hand a year or so ago and currently just using it to heat water in the HLT, but I guess the ultimate aim would be to use it on the whole system. Would just be a matter of moving the temp probe and element plugs?

    Hot Cube, in a keg?

How are you going to remove all the oxygen out of the keg? When I cube you either fill it to the brim and/or squeeze the living F out of it to get all the air out.
