    Sabsosa Entries Reminder

Any WA entries received will be judged with the SA entries, but won't receive awards or trophies. If they score highly we will let you know and maybe a decision can be made in WA as to whether or not it can qualify for the Nationals by comparing scores with similar WA judged beers. Is this fair...

2 Kegs And 2 Stuck Gas In Posts!

doglet, Try putting a long bar thro the keg handles to supply a bit of leverage while working the spanner on the post in the other direction to undo the stubborn *******. Mmmmm, WD 40 flavoured beer. Could be on to something there!

2 Kegs And 2 Stuck Gas In Posts!

doglet, First are the posts leaking? If no leave them and circulate plenty of sanitiser thro the keg. If yes,you could try laying the keg on its side and pouring a kettle full of hot water over the post, being careful where the water is ending up, (not on your foot or crutch), giving the post a...

Using A Magnetic Stirrer During Fermentation

I have just begun to use a stirrer, not for stuck ferments, but for making starters and was wondering, 1. How long to keep the stirrer going? 2. Is it ok to add more cooled wort to the already stirred starter and stir again to step it up without risking oxidation? If you're stirring the wort in...
