    House Infection?

Thanks again everyone. I have purchased some starsan, and have had all of my gear soaking in sodium percarbonate over night. I plan on rinsing the gear with boiling water when it has finished soaking, and then mixing up some starsan to give the gear a quick soak. I will then shake it around...

    House Infection?

Hi Fergi, When I did the brew using my mates gear, everything was new. Not one thing from a previous brew was used in this one, except of course for the house, and myself. Even the cleaning and sanitising products were different. Also, I don't have any air con or ducted heating. Cheers Brett

    House Infection?

Ok, this is my step by step run down - 1. I washed all the gear with Brewshield. (pulled the tap apart on second and third attempts to clean - I removed and cleaned rubber seal on lid also. I even sprayed the kit cans before soaking them in the hot water) Sprayed it on, left it for 5 minutes...

    House Infection?

Hi Sappas. Nothing came in contact with the wort or fermenter after the no rinse. I put the lid on the fermenter straight after the no rinse and left it on until i started adding the can contents to the fermenter. I also used an airlock, and i put vodka in it. I am located in South Yarra...

    House Infection?

Hi guys. I can only assume I have a house infection, but I will try to give a brief rundown of what has happened over the past few months that brings me to this conclusion. (I live in an apartment in Melbourne) I started out just after xmas with a brewcraft starter brewery kit. I read through...
