DIPA-mashed too high, high FG, what to do?

Thanks everyone! I'll take the "don't mess with a good thing" approach and bottle this one as is. I'll let you guys know how it turns out I a month or two!

DIPA-mashed too high, high FG, what to do?

Hi all, I brewed a DIPA a few weeks back: The mash was at 69C: 6 kg pale 300 g Munich 300 g Dark Munich plus 500 g Dextrose at 15 min before end of boil. OG of 1.082 (~19L in fermentor) , pitched with 1/2 a fresh cake of US05 from a pale ale. Held at 17C for three days and slowly ramped...

    QD supplier

Hi all, I am looking into delving into the world of quick disconnects. Can anyone suggest a good supplier? I swear I used to see them on BeerBelly and CraftBrewer website, but cannot find them now. Can anyone comment on quality? I have seen some discussion about the ones from KegKing leaking...

Biab Volumes For A 15 Lt Pot

I am new to AG and BIAB, and currently doing extract partial boils in a 15 lt cheapie pot, while I save up for a 40 lt urn for BIAB. Id like to do a few small scale BIAB practice runs while I wait for the urn. Can someone recommend volumes/grain weights to use for BIAB in a 15 lt pot? I am...

Thoughts Re Coffee Urn - No Chill

Makes sense for the 21lt cubes, I was just thinking 15lt as I have a few sitting about from fresh wort kits. I thought maybe I could do a higher gravity 15L and then just add 5L and year starter to the fermentor. I am in Wollongong. Thanks!

Thoughts Re Coffee Urn - No Chill

Thanks guys, I was thinking the same. A few more questions: Concealed vs not? Ease of cleaning is important to me. Can I get a full boil? I've seen some older posts re boil problems and modification (and eventual element burnout) on the Crown urns. Is this still an issue? I like big IPAs so...

Thoughts Re Coffee Urn - No Chill

Hi, I am pretty new to the brew scene (and my first post here). I am a biochemist by trade so up to speed with the brew chemistry and sterility issues, but still sorting out my gear. I've been thinking about the best way to move away from kits/stovetop stockpot, into extract/full boil. The...
