    33L stainless pot

It's pretty much new, only used a hand full of times. I can't remember what I paid for it but $80 seems reasonable. Pick up in Cammeray, Sydney North Shore. Please don't ask me to ship it, it's huge so shipping would be expensive.

WTB - 5L Oak Barrel Sydney

Yeah I had thought about the demijohn option, I've got a few and could spare one for this, but I think I prefer the barrel option. It's 10 times cooler. Having 5 litres of port to get through and another 5 of single malt, I don't think the 3+ years of aging will be an issue.

Ha ha. OK, point taken. Consider the bullet bitten.

Makes sense. I probably should just bite the bullet and stop trying to be so tight.

WTB - 5L Oak Barrel Sydney

Hey team, I'm looking for a 5L oak barrel, preferably unused. It's going to have port in it for the next couple of years then single malt for as long as I can leave it alone. They're selling new for about $170 from a variety of retailers, I'd prefer to spend about half that, depending on the...

That's mighty generous of you, thanks. I might give you a shout. From what you've explained, it sounds like a fairly simple set up and something I could replicate with out too much hassle or cash outlay. I feel like I've started down a rabbit hole here, curious how deep it is.

Yeah, I've seen this. From memory he is a master brewer with a chemistry degree, I've also heard good things.

Yeah sure. Right now, it's not about the money and I'm not afraid of a bit of hard work. I figure even if it was my own place I'd be doing all of that stuff anyway, it's got to get done. I think it is the great Australian dream to own a brewery, the reality is its bloody hard work. I'm ok with...

So 'magically' a whole heap of cracked grain and hops have ended up in my kitchen. I wonder how that could have happened?... Bring it on!

Thanks. Having looked into this further, it is definitely achievable in the space I have. I can't wait to get started with all grain brews!
