Changing The Method Of Sanitizing My Bottles

FYI Adding the Vinegar (Acetic Acid) to the Bleach (Sodium Hypochlorite) help in the conversion of the Sodium Hypochlorite to the Active Chlorine (Hypochlorous Acid). The optimum pH for this conversion is about pH 6.5 or less but pH 6.5 is the target for sanitising.

Im with Goathearder, I have a degree in chemistry and work in the water industry. I wouldn't be using a container that paint was in. Plastic is porous and therefore can retain smell, flavours and colour. Some of the drums previous content may be retained in the plastic even after the best of...

I ferment my beer in a chest freezer, The disadvantages of a chest freezer are you have to life the beer over and into the freezer and that the condensation does not drain away like in a fridge. So there is usally condensation on the bottom of the freezer. That if left the yeast spores and mould...

    Rain Water

Depending on the water source you have access to Tap water can vary so much. Newcastle and Central Coast water is really soft.
