Thanks Mick, I checked one and it looked OK, a few round buds that look ready to go. Did you mean 1-2 inches? I put mine in @ 3 inches which doesn't seem too deep, the soil is loose so they shouldn't have any issue coming through.

Thanks, as soon as I was done I wiped the bench down so nothing was left to sit overnight. I'm hoping it will fade with time as this is a rental I would hate to think what it costs to repair. :unsure:

Bugger, not a big fan of sweet beers. It's been fermenting for almost 2 weeks now, the brew has 24g of fuggles but is there any extra hop additions I can make to balance out the sweetness? Cheers.

I use the coopers fermenters that have no airlock, I did my first brew with an airlock fermenter and became obsessed with the bubbling :blink: After switching to the non airlock fermenters I just ignore the brew for 2 weeks and rely on the gravity to tell me whats happening. +1 for the glad...

What's the issue with using 500g of crystal in a single batch? I'm just about to bottle a Coopers Unreal Ale with 500g of crystal so curious to know what it will do.

Bottling this week so will know in another 4 weeks if any glue pops up in the flavor, might end up with an extra buzz :blink: Off topic question but does anyone know where I can find the exact ingredients for coopers kit cans? e.g grain/hops types and ratios. I had a look around but couldn't...

Thanks Lads, Surprisingly there's not too much online about this, thought it would be a very common mistake. Hoping the Nelson Sav hops in this brew will destroy anything in it's path :) Cheers

Hi All, For the first time after many kits some of the coopers kit label (20c coin size piece) decided to jump into my fermenter, it wasn't much but was enough to see while I was stirring and topping up. It was a pain to try and get out with a spoon so I just left it, it all fell to the bottom...

A better recipe would be great! Cheers

Oh and as I mentioned I assumed you add the whole pot of honey that came with it so 500g went in instead of 250g. Still on a learning curve :D
