    60l Fermenter

I usually do doubles in my 60L fermentor. I usually crash chill for a week after fermenting in it and put 19L into a keg before moving it (very heavy) and filling the second one.

Monteith's Rata Honey & Spice Flavoured Summer Ale

Ladies and Gents, I have been given a challange on making MONTEITH'S RATA HONEY & SPICE FLAVOURED SUMMER ALE - of course by a couple of Kiwi's..... Now, despite going over the pond last year for a weeks worth of looking, I have never tasted this apparently fine beer. So, I have had a quick...

    Brewing With Diabetes?

I have a mate with diabetes that he can control and he drinks low sugar beer such as Hahn 3.5 Super Dry. His family gave him a starter kit a while ago and he wants to brew something, if he was to use half the Dex will that be ok or should he be using something else as the fermentable part?

    Kit Brewers... Input

My 2c worth Id be interested in a quality K&K that makes 23 to 25L batch with good yeast. While I have most stuff for all grain I dont have the time to do it and finish making the setup. I would be happy to order online and have it delivered to the door in a box, tin and fermentable stuff...

    Question Black Rock Nz Draught

Cosmo, Good idea keeping a book with your brews in it. Make sure you record what you do with each brew and then when drinking it make a comment on what your thoughts are. I have a few good brew recipies tha I like to repeat - some others never to do again! Kuzzy

    Storing Beer In A Keg

burp the keg with CO2 and try to place in a cool spot / out of direct heat. During the last few weeks I have had a keg stored like that, cooled it down and started drinking it last night.

    Can I Bottle?

Flame proof suit on.. I never look at SG - can't remember the last time I did, must be 10+ years ago. But I always leave in fermentor for a minimum 2 weeks (sometimes longer - 3 or 4 weeks if I am too busy) - helps clear the beer a bit and develop the tast - my 2c worth.
