Will a low mash temp help an over dose of crystal?

Hey Guys, I always seem to figure these things out after the fact, but I’ve got too much crystal in the bill. This is my malt bill for a brew I’m going to be brewing tonight. This can’t be changed as it’s blended and cracked from the LHBS JW Trad Ale – EBC 3.5 – 4000g – 84% JW Dark Crystal – EBC...

    What are you brewing 2015?

It's my B'day tomorrow, so I'm skipping work, cranking up the Drum smoker for some pulled pork and brewing a 6.2% American IPA. My plan is to catch up with Game of Thrones in between smoking and brewing, Original Gravity (OG): 1.064 IBU's (Tinseth): 55 Bitterness to Gravity Ratio: 0.86 Colour...

Brew clubs in Central QLD (Yeppoon/Rockhampton)

Hey Guys, I live in Rocky and would be keen to meet up with some home brewers. I'd be interested in a brew day just as soon as our water gets back to normal. I haven't found the facebook page as yet. Speaking of Rocky water I get a water analysis every month from the council, so if ya want it...

    English & fuggles

I'm finding the target harsh as well. Home brew shop gave me 2 x 90g Target for the price of 1. So I rekon the 2nd 90g can sit in the freezer while I try Challenger. Simo, What type of beers have you used the goldings flowers with in the past?

    English & fuggles

Cheers Manticle, I'll add those hops for my next hop buy.

    English & fuggles

What's the flavour like with your goldings flowers? Are they English goldings? I like the EKG and Fuggles together, when used in the right amounts its just the best. A sweet marmalade aroma and round bitterness to an English ale is something I'm still yet to find in my cubes. I'm trying small...

    Strange happenings since going AG

Hey Chris, I rekon the Wigman and Midnight are on to it. Keep being clean and patient with the your kegged beer. Kegged beer always seems to taste better after 3-4 weeks under Co2, as opposed to the force carb and start drinking, I usually prescribe to. :chug: (carnt help me self sometimes)...
