    Grainfather or BrewZilla?

Brewzilla 65 can definitely do a 50 litre batch (and up to 14-15kg grain at a pinch). You aim for 55ish from mash and use some fermcap for boil over prevention.

I‘ll look on my video for the drop and dash. On the actual question can we get a delivery note option? It’s on their con note but blank.

KL can you get a way to put a delivery note in when choosing Direct freight? I’ve had my second extremely disappointing experience. First one they left on the front mat - effectively on the street. The second one I put a delivery instruction in the company field and their driver pulled up then...

    Fermzilla

I think I found my all rounder leak! The lid is molded and there was a little fillet at the mold join that runs through the o ring channel and creates a little void behind the o-ring that gas can get around. Photo below is after I removed the worst of the fillet. I then put some lube in the...

    Fermzilla

I’ve got a 50 litre from kking and a 58 litre from kland and used a 60 litre all rounder for the first yesterday. Why the all rounder? It’s so wonderfully light and you can see where the float is. I’ve had a few brews where you think you’re done and discover 5 litres of beer in the bottom. It...

The all stainless ones are so wonderfully over-engineered they could serve dual purpose as knuckle dusters, nuclear bomb containment devices etc. They have the satisfying heft and “clunk”of a classic car...

I have replaced some perfectly ok ultratap FCs with nukataps. Got rid of the hollow pours I was annoyed with! I’m running the fc disconnects so fc taps was unnecessary. Also confirm the spouts are interchangable (as advertised). Now looking at the grand deluxe 3 door to replace my ancient 3...

Yes. Had three nukataps delivered today. Hadn’t realised it had a “plastic” shuttle but not an issue.nice to see there is a seal kit though. Swapped a FC tap out for one and it pours quite nicely. Hollow pours had been an issue but not anymore..

    Alcohol prices up

It was a masterful bit of spin from the pub lobby. The GST would be higher component of price. I had forgotten the weird tiered excise with <8 litre containers getting hit for around $50 a litre.

    Kegmenter transfer techniques

I have a similar issue and thought it was the tube collapsing. However it doesn’t “collapse” when pouring with a short hose as it fairly gushes out. I use a long bit of line for kegging so I don’t have to move the fermenter and I’m pretty sure the restriction in the transfer hose is what slows...

    Large Mytton Grosvenor kegs

I’ve got two. They are good kegs. The disconnects are 1/2” and a bit fiddly if they aren’t sealing. They are 45 litres and tall/thin so fit in some fridges easier than 50s.
