Thanks Sleepy Weasel. I tried to find brewers gloves or some long glove in my area today but had no luck. I will try tomorrow otherwise I might just have to dump the trub every couple of days and hopefully not have much sediment in the keg when I finally keg it.
Cheers
Darren.
I done a silly thing tonight. I poured my wort into the Grainfather Fermenter but forgot to put in the stainless steel pipe that separates the trub from the final product. Will that be an issue and how is best to approach to ensure minimal affect to the final outcome.
Cheers

Damaged the nylon washer for the conical fermenter where the hoses from the glycol chiller plugs in. It is currently leaking. I removed the washers. Does anyone know what size these washers are and do I need food grade or could I just drop down to the local hardware store to get new ones.
Thanks everyone. He done his first brew today. He was worried about his pot so he put a bbq plate between pot and burner. It took forever but his wort seemed to have the right sg.
Cheers

Thankyou Ross and onescooter. Was not sure on the rules with reviving old thread because some forums don't appreciate it.
I will do a few brews like at Bacchus then look at trying to find a AG brewer around my area which is Redlands area and hopefully start towards building my own AG setup...
I just went today to Bacchus to make an appointment for Saturday to do a brew. Would doing a brew there sort of give me an idea how to do AG or not.
Cheers
Darren
Edit: Sorry old post which I have just revived. Please disregard. :P
I have been a bit lazy lately and looking to order full beer kegs in brisbane at the moment just while I am in lazy mode at the moment. I can get a guy at coorparoo that will do me a keg coupler for a good price but I can't seem to get a pub to order me a keg of commercial tooheys.
Does anyone...
