For lagers 25 is waay too warm, for ales it is also too warm unless you are looking at doing saisons. There are ways to bring the temp of the fermentor down further without the need for a temp controlled fridge if you are not ready/inclined. Google will give further detail but wrapping a wet towel around fermentor and aiming a small fan at the fermentor will help.

Thanks guys for your comments. You're right the temp is too high but I only have so many dollars in my pocket and the results of the beer have been quite tasty. Here in the tropics the temp is almost 30+ in that room or even in the garage. Inside the house is almost the same - we don't have aircon in the house - even if we did it would be set at 24.

I'll try the wet towel suggestion with then next brew.

Right now I have to Coopers Aussie Pale Ale brews going. Both with Coopers Light Malt Extract and 20 gm of fresh Galaxy hops. You should smell the air locks - smells delicious.
