Good morning Brewing Brethren and Ladies,

After a brewing hiatus of two and a half months due to a work course I had to undertake in Darwin, I have returned to Alice Springs, and, being granted the day off, have decided I am going to do two brews.

When I awoke this morning at 7, the inside of my house was about 23 degrees, nice sleeping weather. I walked outside to grab the two kegs I am about to convert to a boiler and a kettle and found it had already reached 30 fn degrees.

I went to my local stainless welder to drop the kegs off, as I have no skill in the stainless welding department, and asked for a quote, two hundred to convert each keg, and I am supplying all the bits. No dramas. Although what I am going for are threaded fittings that can be changed and easily cleaned. Can pull the whole thing apart, I will send pictures, once I have all the parts.

Got home at about 9 and the temperature has reached a balmy 35 degrees, and it is expected to keep going, nearng 40 by the afternoon.

Looking forward to moving to the sunny climes of Darwin in the New Year, where it only reaches 32

Sounds like the perfect climate for year round Saison brewing? :p

3m x 3m tin shed - 37 degree day - 50L boiling wort - visits of no more than 2 min 30 sec to wort.

In Melbourne.

Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it.

:chug:

Yes, it is.
