This nice man is an official with the Daintree Wildlife Resettlement Program (DWRP), an organisation dedicated in the resettlement of native wildlife under threat from the pressure of human activity (POHA) in the Daintree area. Here he is with George, a cute little fella who is due for a lifestyle change, no thanks to the massive influx of tourists in his locality.

After much careful & considered consultation & selection several prime locations including the two above were added to the DWRP database & a lucky recipient selected.

After several weeks of R&R (and lots of chicken pieces) George is ready to go.
Here is a heart-warming pic of George about to explore his new home & with a bit of luck fall 'ead over 'eels ;) in love with the local community.

All the best George, you're gonna love it. :beerbang:

To all of you Brewerhood Brethren who missed out on the inaugural DWRP Animal Shift don't be disheartened. Next breeding season DWRP plan to extend this wonderful & humane contribution to Australia's wildlife to a pond\pool\dam near you. :super:

Urgently needed ---- Carers for cute little buggers like George for R&R before final resettlement.

Your a legend Pete, that's the funniest post I have read in a long time  . Well at least now all the Eels will be cleared out of the dam and we can safely go swimming again, you did say George was hand raised didn't you???
