how long does it usually take for your saisons to carbonate

ive added more than enough priming sugar (in champagne bottles so no explosions ;) ) and my beers still dont seem to be carbed
i'm wondering with saisons will it just eventually carb (just very slow) or do i need to hit the 25c+ temperatures to achieve carbonation

cheers guys really want em to carb soon tasting really promising if it had some fizz

Warm them up to 24*C and they'll kick in.
Most saison yeasts are temperamental little shaggers and need warmth + time.

tdh

p.s. adding more priming sugar doesn't speed up the carbing process, it just makes the beer fizzier

Saison yeast is notoriously hard (almost impossible) to wake up if you've let it get cool enough to go dormant. Keeping it at 24+ is a must.

It's also notoriously slow working toward the end of its job, so it could be another reason your having to wait a while.

Hope it works out :icon_cheers:

hmmn i feared this shouldve added a kit yeast at bottling

well id assume the saison yeast would go dorment then the packet yeast would eat up the dextrose at normal temperatures

but hey gotta try it to know
