Hey guys, just thought I'd let you know my first brew tastes pretty good.

It started off at a high temp (28 degrees) so Whistlingjack thought this might be a problem for me. But I bottled it over a week ago and just tried one of them now and it tastes good. Can't wait to see what it tastes like after I let it sit for another week.

Also Whistlingjack wanted me to let him know how I went so here it is man! This stuff tastes pretty good, I can't wait to brew my next batch!

Also I noticed there wasn't much head on the beer...
I did try cooling it by putting it in the freezer and it kinda got semi-frozen, so i warmed it up a bit in front of the heater so the frozen bits were gone. Do you think that'd ruin the head?
Or maybe I just need to leave it for another week before drinking it?

Unless you're a desperate alcoholic <_< , I don't touch a bottled beer for at least 4 weeks. Everything improves with time.

Edit:
P.S. Fermenting beer at 28degs works, but wait a month till it's a bit colder and do the same brew at 18-20degs, wait 6wks for it to come good (winter slows it all down) and then try that beer. Keep a couple from the first batch for a side by side comparison. Think you'll understand why we say cold is good :chug:

Nice one, Mattorade. The first beer ever made is usually the best, cos you made it yourself!
You're now getting into a hobby thats more addictive than drinking.
Lots of info to learn here, so good luck.
