Just pondering the paltry number of breweries in the Sunshine State. From what I have seen, there is literally only three or four commercial breweries, of varying sizes throughout the state (not counting XXXX and CUB). I believe Queensland is the third most populous state in Aus. It's hot, we like beer - why so few brew houses compared with NSW/VIC/WA? Is it harder to setup a commercial brewery here due to legalities/excise, etc? Or are us Northern-folk just not as enterprising as our more Southerly counterparts? This has me stumped..... :huh:
