Hi All,
Some food for thought...
millsX2.jpg
Here are our two mills. The one on the left is what we will use to churn our way though the 500 kilos or so of malt we will use per brew. It's a 2-roller from Germany. The one on the right is our motorised 3-roller crankandstein (I think we stole the basic design from BigD?) :) .
The major visual difference of course is the stainless porn upper and lower hoppers. Yep, the feed gap is almost IDENTICAL, although admittedly the roller diameter is a tad different. But not that much.

We're still about 3 months away from opening...amazing how the delays can stack up.
Cheers!

Hi Andrew
Sorry mate but i reckon it looks more like Dickos(big beer belly) mill stand/design.Either way it looks great especially standing next to its BIG Brother.

Cheers
Big D

Forgot to mention your web site is looking great as well as your steam exchange beer labels.

Cheers

Hi Andrew,
I'll put your picture up in my brewery(shed) next to the mill so it knows it has got "rellies"

Cheers

Sorry BigD, Dicko, I knew it was one of you guys but couldnt remember which. Its the BigD BigBB that did me in :D
I'd copied the pics from here ages ago and only recently gave them to my neighbor to weld up a copy. :)
Hopefully the website will be updated soon so we're not three months behind...

Hi Andrew,

I noticed your hopper and it looks good.
At the time I considered making mine out of perspex but I only had enough to make a 5 kg hopper and i wanted a 12 kilo size so in the end I went for MDF board.

I would like to get down to Goolwa and visit your brewery when it is up and running.
I have been watching your web site and waiting :) so keep us posted.

Cheers

mmm... Brew porn!

My 2 Roller is somewhere between here an the US... Cant wait!
