Magazine Subscription

Just wondering if any one here subscribes to any of the US beer magazines or if any one here is a member of AHA. I have been a member of IGB for two years and whilst I enjoy the magazine that comes with the membership I am wanting to change over to a more Home Brewing friendly tome.

Which magazine/s should I subscribe to?

A lot of us get BYO Magazine which is pretty good.
A few also get Zymurgy through AHA membership.

They are the two big magazines worth looking into.
There have been some issues with the time taken to get Zymurgy delivered down under though.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to experience this with Zymurgy. I suspect it is due to the way they print the address label directly onto the cover. It probably gets lost in the mail system somewhere. It would be better if they put Zymurgy into a plain white envelope with a regular address label on it.

BYO always arrives early - sometimes before they have updated their own website.

BYO will give U a free copy of the latest issue. I tested it that way and now subscribe.

I've been in communication with the AHA over this issue for a few months now, as has wee_stu as far as I know. Another fella on BrewBoard (cj_in_j) has also been in dicussions with them over slow delivery times.

it's now January, Happy New Year, here's your November Zymurgy; I'm still yet to receive it.

The "Bill me" payment option and free trial issue offer is only valid in the United States and Canada.

May subscribe anyway.

Anyone a member of the Beer Association and recieving the New Brewer Magazine? Interested to know if the membership is worthwhile.

You can also place me on the same list for problems related to recieving the Zymurgy mag..

I have also had numerous e-mails with AHA regarding receiving
the Zymurgy magazine in a prompt and timely manner. Like many of the other comments - the zymurgy mag is normally received at least 9 weeks post released - they only send the subscription outside of the UA by surface mail.

However - I still like the mag and i will be continuing the subscription.

A thought....I wonder if we can re-direct our subscription to be released from the grain and grape as they also stock the mag......

You know, I was contemplating speaking to them about it too - seeing as G&G get a huge shipment anyway, the AHA could include all Australian magazines in the same shipment with postage paid. G&G could then take them to the local post office. I'm sure they'd get some sort of kickback too.
