The Charles Sturt University wine club is putting on a beer tasting in mid October. The wine club is a non profit studnet run organization for the education of members. Tickets will be open to public, not only members of the club. It will be focusing on lesser known beer styles. I have most of the beers organized, however I am still looking for good example of: rauchbier or other smoked beer, saison, porter, a fruit labic or fruit beer and doppelbock. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions of good commercial examples and a location to source them. Would also be prepared to buy a case of the styles mentioned if you have home brewed any of the styles. However the club budget is fairly limited. Donation would be much appreciated. (postage would be pad for by club) Happy to post back tasting notes for feed back.

Thanks for your help.
Declan.

International Beer Shop.

The styles you mention are all available from them, a lot of them can be found in decent beer shops around town, just takes a bit of looking.

Location would help as well

Location as mentioned. Which campus are you from? I'm at CSU orange and can reccommend cobb and co cellars as the best bet for bathurst finding some of these beers. Wagga, I can't really offer any advice other than the international beer shop as well. I know most of these styles were available at cobb and co earlier this year, they had some of the floris lambics earlier in the year, redoak rauch, james squire porter. Dunno about saison and doppelbock though. Happy hunting :icon_drunk:
