Having a few mates over on the weekend for a few beers, just picked up my vt cylinder and it is feeling quite light which has me worried that my gas is almost out. Does anybody know how much an empty VT gas cylinder weighs, I have had a decent look on the web but cant find this info anywhere.

Also came across the cellermix product BOC does which has varying blends of nitrogen. I have always used CO2 and although I am happy with it, has anybody used cellermix and has any feedback on it?

Depends what the bottle is made of.

It'll be stamped onto the bottle.

Pretty sure it is Aluminium. Just had a look at the multitude of almost unreadable and what seem like random stamps on it and I think I can make something along the lines of W0152Kg (at least i think it is a g), so Im guessing it might be 15.2 kg? Cant see anything else on it that could posssibly be a weight.

The bottles should all have the tare stamped on them. That is the weight of the container but may not include the weight of the valve as is the case with propane bottles. The tare is usually marked "T" or "TW" or even "TARE"
