Well its time for me to drink some more! Hopefully i will enjoy all of these beeers, kinda find it hard to find a bad beer, so should all be good :)

Prawned,

A great night in, but you forgot the new and improved VB Gold! And an aged Tooheys Red. Ah so close!

What great collection. Make sure it's on SWAMBOS cc!

InCider.

i love trying to assess which order to drink them based roughly on maltiness and bitterness
sometimes it's a real surprise and an excellent palate education.
even beers you think you hate, drink one before or after your favourite of the same style.

I had a six pack of the matilda bay Plisners today... not bad

i thought the pils was a nice beer too.

I did particularly like the Sinha sri lankan stout. Very nice drop.

I tried a few of the eucranian beers and they tasted like tey were made with lots of sugar to me....... could be wrong.

and the coopers......... well what else is there to say about that :)

cheers

I had a fun time the other night at Dan Murphys , wondering up and down that massive isle of beers from around the world deciding what to buy and checking out the lables. I came out of there and must say it did put a considerable hole in my pocket but being a home brewer I could easily justify that. 30 bucks for a handfull of different, strong beers or a slab of whatever... I know which Id rather have ;)

Evening prawned. Wait till you get sick of some of those and start on Uncle Dan's range of Belgians ales. :p

Judas was the first one i had tonight :) and it was a Belgian ale, wow so strong.. but nice at the same time!

I have had this stuff a few times before, just wanted to re-visit the taste :)

Fav for the night so far has been the Obolon lager from the ukraine

Sinha Lion Stout is bloody loverly, if I could brew a stout as good as that, my work would have to come and get me. :)

there's a couple of russian(?) beers that are pretty good. they look like the 500ml shfferhofer shaped bottles.

Originally was pretty impressed with the imports at Dan Murphy's Glenunga but the last 2 visits have been some what disappoint especially in the quality department.

Couple of weeks ago I bought a DAB and a Pilsner Uquell, the DAB was excellent but the Pilsner Uquell was very average noticed after it was 2 months out of date.

Last night I went there again and got a Lowenbrau, a Staropramen and a Hoegaarden. The Lowenbrau was terrible it was flat, no aroma and very bitter (not in the hops sense) also had a white film on the top. The Staroparmen was very average and below par. I haven't had the Hoegaarden yet, so I hope that isn't stuffed.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Yep, last time I bought Staropramen from Dan's it wasn't great. Little hop aroma/flavour or bitterness made it sweet and unbalanced. I should have checked the use by date - it was 2 months out. That being said, I have had outstanding Urquel and Budvar from Dan's. I think it's just a matter of taking care when buying - check the dates and grab the bottles from the carton or the dark part of the shelf.

yeah i bought a carton of pilsner uquell and cant say i enjoyed it. I will check the date on them when i get home. It was only $39 a carton

either it was a bit stale or im making beer better than they can.

Id say its stale.

cheers

I had my first Coopers Sparkling in well over a year, on Monday. We were out to dinner in China town at a place with byo beer; was a spontaneous purchase at the neighboring bottleshop. Have to say, it was piss weak, felt slightly over carbonated with very little body compared to how I'd remembered it.
