Hi all,

I have some left over kit ingredients and some hops. I was wondering if I could make anything worth drinking from these:

# Coopers Bitter can
# Coopers Brewing Sugar (1kg)
# Hallertau
# Willamette

Any suggestions? should i just make a K&K out of this and use the hops for something better?

Thanks heaps folks,

Happy Brewing....

Hops are pretty cheap in the grand scheme of things and they don't keep all that well. Make the brew and use the hops.

Should I use the Hallertau or Willamette? I was thinking I will just do a basic "hop" tea and add that to the wort.

Any suggestions?

Throw it all together I reckon.

How much of each do you have?
Willamette will DEFINITELY work with a Bitter kit.
I would go around 25g (for a 23l batch) and boil it for 10mins in a litre of water with a tablespoon (approx 125g) of the LME from the kit can. That way you'll get some of the wonderful Willamette flavour - which I think is it's best attribute; though there's nothing wrong with the aroma either so another 25g close to flame out would give you some of that.
Hallertau is not the sort of hop which is going to unbalance things too much either as a flavour or aroma addition so that could go in as well if you really want but my preference would be to stick to Willamette if you have enough.
Like I said, it depends on how many hops you have... and how hoppy you want your brew.
