A quick question...

Does Brewcraft use a true lager yeast under the lid with its:

1. Munich Lager and
2. Czech Pilsner?

Just so I know what temp to ferment at...
Thanks all! :)

There was a foil pack with BZB on it under the lid of my czech pils can....this cam with the 'Budweiser' (czech not yank) kit which had the S23 yeast as an addition along with the Saaz teabag.

Cheers,

BD

Nah they are not true lager yeasts, go and grab a S-23 for both of them for best results

cant comment on the actual question as Im not sure. the answer has been given on AHB somewhere. But buying a yeast upgrade is the best thing you can do for your Kits (unless of course its muntons or similar). upgrading to a better dry or liquid yeast ensures quality of yeast and gives you soooo much more diversity from which to choose from. instead of using a supplied 'lager yeast' for a pils you could buy a dry or liquid yeast made especialy for pils and get fantastic results.

if its a cheap toucan brew then you probably wouldnt worry. i use all my supplied yeast to make bread and cakes (im munching away on a fruitcake i made with beer yeasts right now - hmmmm lots of alcohol soaked fruit).

But seriously. yeast upgrades. think about it.
