Hello All,

BVBC are having an open Day arvo this sat 08 Apr 06.

BVBC are located at Chateau Yaldara Lyndoch.
The brewer is Stefan Walker.
They currently make a honey wheat beer called "BeeSting"
Brewery Tours start at 1.30pm and 3.00pm

Drop by the BrewInn Barossa - my place in Lyndoch - on sat from lunch time - and we can all go up for the tour/meet & greet.

Now for the Shinny Stainless Steel Stuff.
Thge brewing setup is from Belgian..
Consists of a Steam generator,
A wetting tun - ie grain is mixed in with the warm water and held at the mashing temp for 60mins.
It is then pumped into the Mash Tun taht also allows Lautering - ie this vessel has the false bottom.
Then the wort is gravity fed into the Bioler.
The boiler is a 3 layer sealed steam jacketed vessel. The steam is ud=sed to control the boil - but no steam gets into the wort.

It is then pumped into the whirlpool tank and then onto the SS Conical fermenter.

Top stuff ken.Outta curiosity is the bee sting packaged and sold around the traps?
Never noticed it at the locals if it is last time i was in crowland.
