    VIC-Xmas 2016 Case-Swap Recipe (Cocko's place)

I don't think you've done that brew the justice it deserves. Might need a glass with gold trim or something. I bet it's smooth???

    Fridge running warm

Good find mate, just remember, an iced over evaporator is a symptom of another root cause of the problem. It may return again causing a high temp, or when it was in the house, may have had the door opened too many times per day (for a domestic fridge) and caused a slow hard ice build up. Time...

    Fridge running warm

Could be a multitude of problems. If you want some advise, upload photos or tell us the model. As previously stated, if frozen over, can be a simple blocked drain, defrost control issue/ element, fan issue, damper, refrigerant etc. Details please. FYI - I am a licenced commercial refrigeration...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Do you know what your mains voltage is exactly? Either way, 3600w is 15A approx depending voltage, and it's 15A protected. If you decrease voltage, you increase current. I would ask kegland what they recommend pairing it with. I have no experience with this product, but would hesitate using with...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

I also have a 35L that does the same. One tip I can give is make sure after the boil, it completely stops boiling for 30 seconds. I'm not sure if this is happening (haven't been bothered enough to check), but I work on centrifugal pumps at work. They don't like any air what so ever inside the...

    KegLand Questions and Answers

Fair enough mate, I have a series x using as kegerator, works well. I saw reviews of them being "noisy". Not at all from my experience. Good luck, the ministress of finance would not allow me to buy equipment like that for fermentation, im jealous.

Why don't you go with a purpose built ferment fridge. It will be much more energy efficient with 1 single compressor operating and has the added feature of wifi if you want to use it. https://www.kegland.com.au/rapt-temperature-controlled-fermentation-chamber-fridge.html

    Balter IPA Clone

I've brewed this, it's fantastic, can taste the alcohol a bit though. I like it after about a week or 2, the hop burn settles down and flavours blend well. A few pints makes my close my eyes on the lounge though.

Unsure newbie needing guidance: Kegland Helles Fire Munich Larger

Ahh, the dreaded blow. The only thing that can make that feeling a little less shit, is if you're lucky enough to have 3/4 of a pint in your hand.

Well done mate. It's a slippery slope down the rabbit hole, watch all that money you may have saved get lost in all the new gadgets.

    Old Waeco CF80 to kegerator.

That's come up a treat Bodgy. I'm a refrigeration mechanic and was reading the start of your post saying to myself that it will have the capacity to do the extra volume. After all, it can be a freezer, and you're running above freezing. Good luck with any further mods.

    Introducting myself

Hi Sleepy Weasel, I must say, that is a very fast transition into all grain and kegging. Sounds like you are your own minister of finance. Not long now before you connect your chiller for fermentation temperature control, very jealous. I'm a commercial/ industrial refrigeration mechanic, and...

    Greetings!

Alright koops, Here is my experience so far with pressure ferment. First brew was what I thought was going to be an Aussie pale, ended up tasting much more like an American pale. The fresh hop flavour and aroma is out of this world. I've never experienced grapefruit until now. The beer has...
